Hub Cycle Cycling Club
In 1986, Bruce Roberts, Glenn Roy, Tracey MacKenzie and Gerry Zwicker came together and formed the Hubtown Spokebenders Cycling Club. The original goals of the club were to take weekend mountain bike trips, hold mountain bike races, and race in other events as representatives of the group.
A lot has changed since the club began. It now goes by the name "Hub Cycle Cycling Club" and includes not only mountain biking, but road riding, and in the winter, fat biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. Along with the variety of events and sports, the club caters to a large variety of riders. There are now options for riders of all ages and skill levels
Members are welcome at all group rides and workshops. The club is BNS (Bicycle Nova Scotia) affiliated. There is a yearly membership fee. Please register online with BNS.
Upon becoming a member, you receive access to club rides and events, 10% off all clothing and accessories at Hub Cycle. Follow the Hub Cycle Facebook page to get updates on club activities.
